Mission: ACS provides communications support to the City of Seattle in times of disaster and emergency.
 
Role of ACS in an Emergency or Disaster:
  • Operates the communications facility at the City Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
  • Provides communications support for various City agencies and partner organizations.
  • Offers communications support to the City's field response and recovery operations.
  • Provides communications links to amateur radio operators located in the community supporting SNAP and CERT teams as well as community HUBs.
  • Provides volunteer support services were needed including transportation, damage reporting and weather observations.
